The long and widing road by Eugenio Nierras Corpin

I was accused of killing that it has never occurred to kill the former governor but I admitted harboring grudge with him. And it was Napolice who shot him and passed the handgun, which Napolice stashed inside the backpack and passed it to me.
“Sa milabayng higayon” I was drinking at port area on or about 1st of Sept and the former governor approached me and challenged me to a fight, but I don’t want because God ask me not to fight with someone for he said; “forgive those who sins against us and lead us not to temptation but deliver us from evils”
“Nauwawan ko pag-ayo sa nahitabo. Mura gud og may circus ug drama ang pantalan" (i was humiliated. the pier area looked like a circus with drama).
I was challenged by the former governor to a fight but i did not rise to the challenge because i knew i was outnumbered by the angels fear to thread. I told the Naval Mayor Gerardo Espina Sr. about the incident and the mayors said; “forgive him because he is our brother.”
“Kon gusto nako siyang patyon, didto na lang sa Naval, dili na nako paabton dinhi sa Cebu"
(Had I wanted to kill him, I could have done so in Naval. Why would I wait till we arrived in Cebu?),” “Mas makalingkawas pa ako sa kaso kay dinhi sa sugbo!” (I can survive prosecution than in Cebu!).
You see! …the police beating me black and blue when i was arrested here in Cebu, but in Naval i know all the police. But here in Cebu i couldn’t identify the policemen who mauled me.
“Ang nakaparat sa gugma kay dia sa ako mahugmak ang tanan” (the salt fall in love on me he he he ). “Peru nahilom lagi ang mga pagarpar” (the noise is quite, you see!).
“P eru mao kini’y leksiyon sa mga tawong way kasingkasing” (but this is a lesson to those who hearth us). "Sa madaug-daugon, kawatan, mangingilad, sugarol, babaero, limbongan ug sa mga tig-prenda ug dili ilang butang mag-bantay kamo sa silot sa Ginoo."
Kay miingon siya, (the Lord said); “silotan ko kadtong mga nakasala ug pagahukman ko sa dayon.” Amen!
